Overview

Complex Geometries, One Setup.

5-Axis CNC machining is one of the most advanced and versatile machining processes available today. Unlike traditional 3-axis machines, our 5-axis centers move the cutting tool or workpiece along five axes simultaneously, producing highly complex parts with exceptional precision in a single setup.

This technology offers superior accuracy with tolerances as tight as ±0.005 mm to ±0.01 mm, excellent surface finishes and significantly reduced setup time compared to 3-axis machining. Undercuts, compound angles and deep features are machined with outstanding consistency and efficiency — ideal for prototypes and low-to-medium volume production.

We serve demanding industries such as aerospace, medical, automotive, new energy, robotics and industrial equipment, delivering reliable 5-axis machined prototypes with lead times as quick as 7 days.

Why It Pays Off

Five Axes, One Setup.

  • Undercuts, compound angles and deep cavities in one fixturing
  • Tolerances of ±0.005 mm to ±0.01 mm with better repeatability
  • Surface finishes to Ra 0.4 μm — little or no secondary finishing
  • Fewer setups, shorter cycle times and lead times
  • Aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and engineering plastics

When to use 5-axis machining

The preferred solution for aerospace components, medical implants, automotive and robotics parts — any application that demands high-precision, complex geometries with superior quality and repeatability, from a first prototype to low-to-medium volume production.

Key Advantages

Why 5-Axis Machining at Divine Precision.

Our 5-axis CNC machining provides several key advantages compared to traditional 3-axis and 4-axis machining methods.

  • Complex Geometries

The cutting tool approaches the workpiece from virtually any direction, machining intricate shapes, undercuts, deep cavities and compound angles in a single setup.

  • Superior Accuracy and Precision

Machining multiple sides in one fixturing removes repositioning errors — tighter tolerances, better repeatability and accuracy often reaching ±0.005 mm to ±0.01 mm.

  • Excellent Surface Finish

Continuous, optimized toolpaths minimize tool marks and vibration, so parts frequently need little or no secondary finishing — saving time and cost.

  • High Efficiency

Fewer setups and operations mean significantly reduced cycle times and lead times — cost-effective for complex prototypes and low-to-medium volume runs.

  • Greater Design Flexibility

Engineers gain more freedom to create optimized, lightweight, high-performance designs without compromising manufacturability.

  • Versatile Material Capability

Aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, special alloys and engineering plastics machined on the same 5-axis centers.

Quality Control

Four Checkpoints Between
Bar Stock And Box.

  • 01Incoming material
  • 02First article
  • 03In-process
  • 04Final inspection
Coordinate measuring machine inspecting a machined part
  • Every bar is checked before the first cut.

Material certificates are checked against the drawing and the heat number is recorded at receiving, so every lot is traceable from raw stock to the box it ships in.

  • A full FAI report before the run starts.

The first part off the machine is measured feature by feature against the drawing and released with a first article inspection report before production continues.

  • SPC and AQL sampling during the run.

Operators sample parts throughout the run with statistical process control and AQL checks, so any drift is corrected at the machine — not discovered at the end.

  • 100% inspected, then packed to arrive clean.

Every part receives a final dimensional and visual inspection, is packed with VCI protection and ships with its inspection report and material certificates.

Ask a Question
  • What file formats can I upload for a quote?

Upload CAD drawings, 2D/3D files, or technical documents securely on our website — STEP, IGES, and standard 2D formats are all welcome. You'll receive a competitive quotation within hours.

  • Is my design protected when I share files?

Yes. Every file you send is reviewed only by our engineering team and never shared with third parties. We protect your IP fully and sign an NDA on request before any drawing is opened.

  • What tolerances can you hold?

Our CNC and 5-axis machining holds tolerances down to ±0.005 mm with surface finishes to Ra 0.4 μm. Injection molding is held to ±0.02 mm and sheet metal fabrication to ±0.1 mm, with full inspection and traceability on every batch.

  • Can you handle both prototypes and high volumes?

Absolutely. We deliver machined prototypes in as little as 3 days and scale the same process to production runs of 100,000+ pieces, so you can move from validation to volume without changing suppliers.

  • Which materials do you work with?

We machine aluminium alloys, steel, stainless steel, brass, titanium, engineering plastics and special alloys. For molding we run ABS, PC, Nylon, PP and PEEK, and our sheet metal shop works stainless steel, aluminium, galvanized steel and copper.

  • Are you certified?

Yes. Divine Precision is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949, with strict process control and full traceability from raw material to finished part.
